Frugal Fashion: Out & About

July 12th is my birthday. The big 3-0. So we decided to hang out this past Saturday night since mostly of my friends and family will be out of town this weekend. We hit up Luna Lounge. Didn't stay long because of some undesirable things I saw in there LOL. After that we hit up the Savoy. I never see any cute guys in there but the music is on point. I just loved my dress. The bust area was very 1950's style with the pointy breast look. Very classic. Plus the print on the dress was just gorgeous. I felt a more strappy shoe would of went better with this dress but I couldn't find a cute pair on sale at the last minute. I think I still looked hot tho :-)

Out & About: The Wine Vault

My bestie Tabby and I don't get to hang out much so Friday we decided to grab a bite to eat at TGI Fridays. Well down here they call it Club Fridays because it's one of the most poppin spots over the weekend. Sad I know but that's Charlotte for ya lol. After we left Fridays we decided to check out a spot called The Wine Vault. It's  pretty cool spot. One half of it is an retail store where you go pick out and purchase a bottle of wine (they have beers too) and the other side is a lounge where you take your bottle (or glass) and sit down, drink and listen to music. The atmosphere was so relaxing. We usually drink white wines but the Pinot Noir they let us sample tasted awesome so be purchased a bottle and chilled out.

I had great time at my friends house celebrating her birthday. I love house parties. I am more relaxed and I let loose a bit more. I added the cost of my outfit to this post since I didn't take any pictures dedicated to my outfit that night

Out & About: Wet Willies

 

The infamous Call -A-Cab

 My friend and I decided head out to Wet Willies and a few other spots for some drinks. I personally don't like drinks at Wet Willies because I don't like slushy type drinks. Plus they don't have any wine. That really sucks. Check out my outfits link for the deets on what I'm wearing.

Out & About: Vintage Shopping





Spent a fabulous but yet frugal day out shopping. I decided to check out The Rat's Nest. It's a vintage clothing store in the NODA neighborhood of Charlotte. NODA reminds me a mini village in the making. Brings me a little piece of home (NYC). I purchased a dress and bag that I can't wait to wear. One thing to note. Vintage and thrift items are some what different. Real vintage items cost alot more than items that you find at the thrift store for $2 lol.

I so wanted that Jesse Jackson tee. A little to pricey for my budget tho.
